How do charging rates work?
Rates depend on three factors:
- The power of the charger you use.
- The station's location (City or Highway).
- The time of day you charge.
What is the difference between off-peak and peak hours?
At stations located in the city, rates vary depending on the charging time:
-
Off-Peak Hours: from 17:00 to 23:00.
-
Peak Hours: from 23:00 to 17:00.
At highway stations, the rate does not change based on the time, but rather by the charger's power output.
What are the current rates?
Chargers up to 22 kW
- City (Off-Peak): $340/kWh
- City (Peak): $395/kWh
- Highway: $395/kWh
50 kW Chargers
- City (Off-Peak): $395/kWh
- City (Peak): $450/kWh
- Highway: $450/kWh
Chargers 120 kW or more
- City (Off-Peak): $440/kWh
- City (Peak): $495/kWh
- Highway: $495/kWh
How is the cost of a shipment calculated?
The total cost corresponds to the energy consumed (kWh) multiplied by the applicable rate based on the charger's power, the station's location, and the time the charging takes place.
For example, if you charge 20 kWh on a 50 kW charger during off-peak hours at a city station:
20 kWh × $395 = $7,900.
